Hashimoto Modern is happy to existing Wet Desire, a solo exhibition by Toronto-centered artist Megan Ellen MacDonald. The exhibition will be MacDonald’s next solo presentation at Hashimoto Modern, and debut solo exhibition in New York Metropolis.

Using 3D application and virtual reality to make intricate scenes, the artist reinterprets these compositions through standard oil painting approaches educated by historical nevertheless life portray of the Dutch Golden Period. Continuing the exploration of contrasting themes of objectification and electric power, MacDonald expands on how these themes relate to the femme working experience as a result of coded iconography.
