Leaf Wreath – ARTBAR
I took a stroll in our regional park this 7 days on the most best fall working day. Temps were being small 60’s, sky was vivid blue, there was a slight breeze and just the smell of autumn in the air. I introduced a bag with me to accumulate leaves, as one does on best drop times, and I collected so lots of that it felt like it weighed a couple lbs .. I quickly considered of the great thought for my large bag of leaves…. a leaf wreath designed with a wire hanger!
I first saw this leaf wreath strategy yrs back on my close friend Gina’s site, Willowday. I realized it demanded a ton of leaves considering that they are stacked, and I’m typically anyone who only collects what I can keep, so I haven’t experienced a probability to convey home a massive leaf haul until eventually now!
How to make a leaf wreath with a wire hanger:
1. Gather your leaves and organize them by colour. I need to have gathered a few hundred leaves at the very least, but fact be informed I *still* didn’t have plenty of. I had to minimize my hanger a little shorter. So err on the aspect of far too considerably!
2. Use needle nose pliers to untwist the major of the wire hanger. Use your have hands to bend out the kinks, then to bend it into a circle. This wreath will get started to dry up quite promptly and the hues will fade. If you want the coloration to past, test dipping the leaves in beeswax initially!
