When I initially arrived on LeCrue Eyebrows‘ artworks on the streets of my city, I was struck at at the time by its singular authenticity. Every single piece intrigues, as it exudes a distinctive aura of thriller. Visible meditations on this sort of universal themes as appreciate, loss and longing, the will work are subtly potent and strikingly gorgeous.
Not to be skipped is the Queens-centered artist’s very first solo exhibition at Van Der Plas Gallery. At at the time quietly raw and soulfully tasteful, each operate tells a story – to be freely interpreted by its viewer. And each and every piece was created freely and spontaneously, as almost nothing that Lecrue makes is premeditated. The act of painting, alone, is to the artist “an intensive type of meditation.”
